What are the advantages
of the Polycom GLOBAL Reach Program?
1. With GLOBAL Reach,
US or Canadian companies, or multi-national companies with a US or Canadian
address, can place Polycom orders with us and get efficient shipping and delivery
solutions for
any Polycom product & service in any region of the world.
2. The products can have either
North American specifications and warranties, or specifications and
warranties specific to your local regional requirements.
3. All prices are normally
quoted in US dollars.

4. Software keys can be delivered
electronically to speed delivery, reduce shipping/handling costs,
and postpone or reduce any duties and taxes often required on
software imports.
If you have a FedEx account, then freight,
taxes and duties can be charged to your account. This can greatly
simplify the export process and the accounting for freight, taxes
and duties.
There is a GLOBAL Reach fee chargeable per order
and
it covers:
- Over-head and co-ordination from enquiry to sign off from the end user
for your order.
- Expedited availability of products and service (within
2
days for shipments and priority for
installations).
- For DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms,
the fee includes all costs relating to freight, delivery, custom clearance, duty,
handling etc.
The fee does not include: 1. Installation costs, 2. Inside delivery,
3. Project management to end user, 4.
Sales Tax or VAT (for the EU
and North America).
The GLOBAL Reach Fee for Ex-Works
delivery terms is fixed
- e.g. it is typically $55 for up to 5 audio products on a shipment and
$220.00
for video products.
The GLOBAL Reach Fee for DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) delivery terms, varies
between $220 to $974 depending on the country.
DDP = Delivered Duty Paid
Goods are delivered Duty Paid to the end user; all
charges for local duties, transportation, and administration are included.
Excluding VAT. If the customer is unable to accept delivery for any reason and
Polycom is asked to store said equipment, this will be
done for a maximum of 5 days, free of charge. Thereafter, storage costs will be
invoiced at cost price, with a minimum charge of $40.00
For DDP orders into China, please note we can only offer DDP if the importer
(Customer/end user in China) has an Importation License. A copy of License, or
details of the License number will be required to be detailed on the Channel PO
before we can accept DDP terms. The Customer would be the importer of record,
but all charges for transportation and local duties charges would be paid by
Polycom.
Ex-Works
Under Ex-Works delivery terms, a Freight Forwarder is
required to collect the goods from the regional
Polycom warehouse and handle freight, delivery, duty
and importation (including VAT) costs. We can supply the
Freight Forwarding services (please ask us for a quote) or you can arrange your
own.
If you supply the freight forwarding, then we fulfill our obligation to deliver when the goods
are made available at at the
warehouse for pickup by the buyer. Buyer is
responsible for loading the goods on the vehicle provided by the buyer
and for clearing the goods for export. The buyer bears
all costs and risks involved in taking the goods from the seller's premises to
the desired destination. The buyer is responsible for obtaining any importation
licenses prior to shipment.
GLOBAL Reach Orders are expedited with high priority, subject to product
availability, customs paperwork and
payment arrangements. Orders will be made available for shipment (DDP)
or pick-up (Ex-Works),
within 2 working days from Order Entry.
From where will my International Order Ship?
For all NA & CALA orders, product will ship or be made available from
Tracy, CA 95377 USA
For all Asia, China and Japan orders, product will ship or be made available
from Thailand
For all EMEA orders with exception of South Africa, Africa and UAE, Saudi
Arabia, product will ship or be made available from The Netherlands
For South Africa, Africa, UAE and Saudi Arabia, product will be made
available from Thailand
Most larger countries have both onsite and remotes services
available. Service capabilities in some
countries include
on-site services or they can be remote
via video, phone and internet only.
